Nkrumah was Ghana’s most visionary leader But I’ll Beat his Record – Kennedy Agyapong

The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential aspirant, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has declared Ghana’s first President as the country’s most visionary leader.
Speaking in an interview with Pan African Television, Agyapong said Nkrumah’s vision led to him building approximately 60% of Ghana’s infrastructure, a feat no President since has been able to match.
“When you look at the existing infrastructure in this country, about 60% of it was done by Nkrumah in the period of nine years from 1957 to 1966 and up to now we’ve not been able to match what he did.” He said. “I go around the country, and I see the works of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, and he’s been my role model.”
Kennedy Agyapong said he wants to become President to be able to beat the record set by Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
“If there’s any president in Ghana that I want to beat his record, it’s Dr Kwame Nkrumah, and if you give me eight years, I’ll beat his record. he continued. “Why I want to be president is that, one, we need a selfless leader; two, we need a bold and determined leader; three, we need a decisive leader; and four, we need a pragmatic leader.”
Agyapong took a shot at his rival for the slot, former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, declaring that we need practical ideas and not theoretical leadership.
