Daddy Lumba’s One-Week Observation Scheduled For August 30th

The family of Daddy Lumba has finally scheduled a date for his one-week observation.
The one-week observation of the late Ghanaian legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, is scheduled for August 30th, 2025.
The family revealed that the announcement is due after their visitation to Otumfour Osei Tutu to officially inform him about Lumba’s death.
However, they mentioned that the actual venue for the event has not been finalised, as the place they initially secured is not big enough for the programme.
Speaking to the media, the family disclosed that they are still searching for a bigger venue befitting the occasion.
Meanwhile, it has also been announced on Daddy Lumba’s social media page that the one-week observation will be held in Accra while the final funeral rites take place in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Iconic Ghanaian musician Daddy Lumba died on July 26th, 2025 after battling a short illness.
The highlife legend died at 60.
Unconfirmed reports say he is survived by two wives and 10 children.
