If NPP Chooses the Wrong Candidate, They’re Dead and Gone – Prophet Warns
Pastor William Braham has issued a prophetic warning to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), urging the leadership to choose Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as their flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.
According to the religious leader, divine revelation confirms that the former Vice President is still the chosen one to lead the party, despite his defeat in the 2024 elections.
“In the spirit realm, what God opened my eyes to see is that Dr Bawumia will lead the NPP again. He will emerge the victor,” he revealed during an interview on Angel FM.
He cautioned the NPP against opting for a different candidate, stressing that the party’s very survival is at stake.
“The NPP currently stands at a place that any wrong decision they make at this time, they are dead and gone forever,” he warned.
Pastor Braham went further to describe the stakes for the party as critical.
“I see that any decision they will make at this time is a do or die affair for them because the way they are going, if they are not very careful, there is going to be a big gap or separation at the end of the day.”
What’s at stake for the NPP?
Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy in 2024 ended in a disappointing loss to John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), raising doubts about his political strength.
His defeat, seen by many as a reflection of the Akufo-Addo administration’s unpopularity, could make it difficult to rally the grassroots again, especially as Ghanaians continue to express frustration over economic hardship and unemployment.
Should Bawumia lead the NPP into the 2028 elections and lose again, the implications could be dire.
The NPP may face internal divisions, erosion of trust among the party faithful, and a possible shift in power within the party’s leadership structure.
With a fragmented base, the party risks losing its strongholds and becoming vulnerable to third-party breakaways or rising opposition momentum.
