Paul Adom-Otchere Released by OSP – Kissi Agyabeng Speaks
Good Evening Ghana host and former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere, has been released by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
According to Metro TV, employers of Adom-Otchere, he has left the premises of the OSP offices but been asked to report back.
He reportedly met the conditions of his bail.
“Breaking: Paul Adom-Otchere was released from the OSP’s office in the company of Godfred Dame, Esq., and lawyers from Akufo-Addo, Prempeh & Co. However, he has been called back to the OSP’s office,” their post read.
Adom-Otchere was detained by the Office of the Special Prosecutor on Thursday, July 31, 2025 during a visit to the OSP office in relation to a probe into his alleged role in an alleged corrupt contract entered into by GACL during his time in charge.
He was granted bail that required him to present two landed properties he owned in Ghana, but he denied having any property either in the country or abroad.
The OSP therefore detained him until he fulfilled the conditions, which he now appears to have done.
OSP defends detaining Adom-Otchere
In an interview to defend his decision, the Special Prosecutor said bail is used to ensure the accused has a reason to reappear before the authorities and would not flee.
He said in Adom-Otchere’s case, as he’s now declared he does not own any landed property in the country, any such property found in his name can be confiscated.
“If you say you don’t have any property, then you place yourself in the hands of the state, so any property found in your name will be confiscated.” he said.

Analysis of Paul Adom-Otchere OSP back and forth
The back and forth between Paul Adom-Otchere and the OSP continues, as he has reportedly been asked to report back despite meeting bail.
The OSP’s explanation of bail is right on its surface, but in politics we all know the law can be manipulated to ensure the outcomes you need.
Regarding Paul’s claim not to own any landed properties either in Ghana or abroad, while that seemed like a smart move, it might come back to bite him if the OSP discovers any property in his name during their investigations.
